I had an incredible experience at Maison Bougainvillea! The owner, Irving, went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. Despite my late arrival due to traffic, Irving waited up for me and greeted me with a warm smile. The breakfast served was absolutely delicious, and the rooftop terrace provided breathtaking views of the surrounding area, including an erupting volcano! While the bed was a bit uncomfortable and the location a little outside the city center, those minor drawbacks were easily overshadowed by the wonderful hospitality and unique atmosphere of the hotel. I highly recommend Maison Bougainvillea for a great stay in Antigua!

During my Christmas stay, I loved the fact that the staff was incredibly supportive and helpful. They even accommodated our request for early breakfast, serving us delicious vegan options. The room was ready when we arrived before check-in time, and the terrace offered stunning views which made breakfast even more enjoyable. Additionally, the location was perfect, with a beautiful walk of just 15 minutes into the city, passing by charming ruins and less crowded streets.
One minor issue was the lack of instructions on adjusting the hot water in the shower, but it wasn't a big deal. Additionally, it would've been helpful if the breakfast options varied from day to day, instead of being the same every morning.

He shared his extensive knowledge of Guatemala and helped us plan our travels. The hotel even arranged transportation for us, which was convenient and reasonably priced. The location, although a bit outside the center, was safe and allowed us to explore interesting streets on our way to the town center. we highly recommend Maison Bougainvillea for solo travelers or couples looking for a fantastic experience in Guatemala.

We had an incredible stay at a beautiful place in Central America. Irving was an amazing host and helped us with organizing transportation and even joined us for the kite festival in Santiago, acting as our guide and sharing knowledge about the local cuisine and kite traditions. Rosa, who prepared breakfast and cleaned our rooms, was absolutely lovely. the rooms were cleaned meticulously every day and the beds were comfortable. We especially enjoyed the breathtaking view from the terrace, where we could relax in the hammocks and have breakfast. The walk to the center was safe and it was nice to be away from the hustle and bustle. Cons: Couldn't fault 👌.
